Abiquiu Colors

From the Chama to the vistas, from the startling blue sky to the vari-colored cliffs, to the chamisa, the cottonwood, and the roadside asters, I offer you the colors of Abquiui, New Mexico.  A dear friend and I recently spent a few days there - magical days of beauty and inspiration. May some of the magic we felt be transmitted directly to your heart.

Original abstract art by artist Wanda Oliver done in oil paint and cold wax medium on cradled board, 24x30x1.5", November, 2025.  Wanda is known for her use of exuberant color, lyrical lines, and sumptuous layered surfaces.

The surface of the painting is sealed with a layer of buffed cold wax. The sides of the cradled board are waxed, and the board is wired and ready to hang.  The board is designed to accommodate a floating frame, but no frame is necessary.
