Duet

I am a non-objective artist, yet at times vaguely figurative images emerge unbidden. When that happens, I tend to honor them. These figures not only emerged, but appeared engaged in some sort of call and response. Their very own duet taking place in a mysterious world beyond our own

Original abstract art by artist Wanda Oliver executed in oil paint and cold wax medium on Stonehenge oil paper and then mounted on a cradled board, 16x20x1.5", June, 2025.  

Wanda's work is mysterious and yet calming giving it the power to engage the viewer again and again in an unspoken dialogue.

The surface of the painting is sealed with a layer of buffed cold wax. The sides of the cradled board are waxed, and the board is wired and ready to hang.  The board is designed to accommodate a floating frame, but no frame is necessary.
