Heart Song

Heart Song arose during an intensive 14-week program (Nicholas Wilton’s Creative Visionary Program) that I attended during the late spring and early summer of 2025. Encouraged to dig deep into my own preferences, my own yearning call, while honing my technique and compositional skills, my art jumped into a higher orbit. In this work, I see the poetry of line and the music of my very being. 

Original abstract art by artist Wanda Oliver executed in oil paint and cold wax medium on Stonehenge Oil paper, mounted on cradled board, 16x20x1.5” June, 2025.  

Wanda is known for her freely energetic lines, bold color, and sumptuous surfaces.

The surface of the painting is sealed with a layer of buffed cold wax. The sides of the cradled board are waxed, and the board is wired and ready to hang.  The board is designed to accommodate a floating frame, but no frame is necessary.
