Newly Renovated Web Site

Lots to explore and enjoy.

I have recently achieved a long held goal - to expand my web site from sharing my work and providing a means of communicating with me into a site where collecting art directly from me is simple, safe, and straightforward. Visually, I've worked hard to make the new site clean, welcoming, and uncluttered. And, in honor of this major milestone, I'm offering a treat. You can visit my store and collect a small, original work on paper for the cost of shipping ($1.00). Look for the Art for Everybody Grab Bag.

For those of you who have known me for years, the new site may seem a bit empty. Where are all the photographic works? The book art? The hand printing, mixed media, and collage pieces? They haven't gone anywhere, and I may reintroduce them to the site at some point, but for the moment I've decided to focus on my paintings. That's where my creative energy is currently concentrated, and an insistent voice inside firmly pushed me away from a site that served as an archive towards a site that serves as a showcase, a one woman show of my own curation - a living, changing destination that entices you to visit often to see what's new.

The risk, of course, is that to someone finding me for the first time, it appears that my history is shallow. To combat that, I am building out a fuller picture at Artwork Archive. There I have the database tools needed to build a complete inventory and full provenance for all my work. It's a big effort and no where near finished, but this dual direction feels like the right path. Feel free to explore that new portfolio also.

I hope you will explore the new site. I hope you enjoy the experience. And I hope you will give me feedback. Let me know what you savored. Let me know what felt awkward or confusing for you. And most of all, please let me know if you find anything that doesn't appear to be working properly. I have tested and tested, but many pairs of eyes are always better than one, and your particular combination of device and browser might uncover some unanticipated issue.

Love and creativity always,

Wanda
